Laura is a partner in the firm.  After seventeen years as a litigator with both a large international law firm and smaller boutique law firms, Laura decided to make her own vision of what a law firm should be a reality and opened her own practice in 2019.  In 2020, she joined with Amy M. Mara as a partner in Catina & Mara, PLLC.  Laura wants to serve her clients and build a practice based on a foundation of trust.  Clients can trust she will always be available to provide advice and counsel and that her legal advice will be second to none. 

Laura’s practice includes commercial and business litigation, business general counsel services, employment law and residential and commercial real estate.  With many years of experience as a litigator, Laura also serves as a mediator.  She has represented both individuals and entities in all aspects of business disputes, including contracts, partnership disputes, and employment litigation, including class action defense.  Laura also handles transactional matters such as the review and creation of contracts, employee handbooks and other legal documents for her clients.

Laura advocates on behalf of her clients in New York state and federal courts, including bankruptcy court, New Jersey state courts, arbitrations and mediations, in complex commercial and employment disputes.  Laura handles litigation from inception through trial and appeal and has argued several appeals in the New York appellate divisions.    Laura is also licensed to practice in Pennsylvania.​

Laura graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Administration of Justice and New York Law School in 2002.

Laura regularly counsels and advises clients on a variety of business and employment law related issues, including guidance on compliance with state and federal laws, employment policies and procedures, employment agreements, restrictive covenants and trade secrets, partnership and shareholder agreements and other related issues.

Laura serves as a member of the board of directors and is the treasurer of the Rockland County Bar Association.  She also serves on the Rockland County Bar Association Grievance Committee, Memorials Committee & Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.
